Google introduced Fast Pair and Audio Switching for Android at CES 2022.
With Fast Pair, you can connect your Android phones with Bluetooth accessories with ease, enabling instant setup and device pairing for swift transfer of your Google credentials. The company now wants to expand it beyond audio connectivity with wearables, headphones, speakers and cars to TVs and smart home devices.
With Audio Switching, Google is looking to enhance the audio experience between different devices from the Google and Android ecosystem. You could be listening to an audio stream on your Chromebook, and when you receive a call on your Android phone, the headphone will pair with the phone to answer the call and switch back to the Chromebook once the call is done.
BMW showcased a car with colour changing paint. Although the BMW iX is capable of changing its colour from white to black and grey which is still a constrained colour palette, it gives us an early sneak peek into a technology that could revolutionise the industry by allowing users to kill their boredom.
While
Sony revealed the specs of its upcoming virtual reality headset, the PlayStation VR2, during the event without showcasing the actual product. These headsets are said to offer a 2,000 x 2,040 pixels resolution for each eye and come with a 110-degree field of view. They have 4K HDR capabilities and support haptic feedback for a complete VR experience.
Another beautiful innovation displayed at the CES 2022 was Samsung’s Odyssey Ark monitor that is curved and comes with a large 55-inch display. The curve along with a high-resolution screen should provide a complete immersive experience to its users.
There were plenty of electric vehicles displayed at the CES 2022 as the world looks to move away from fossil fuel-based vehicles. Premium brands like Mercedes, BMW, Chrysler and Chevrolet showcased their upcoming EVs. Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX that claims a driving range of 1,000km on a single and BMW iX M60 that comes with advanced driver assist could arrive on the roads in India. However, the most affordable option was provided by the Chevrolet Equinox which would carry a price range of $30,000. However it may not arrive in India.
This Wi-Fi router from TP-Link was introduced at CES 2022. It is powerful as it can deliver up to 11Gbps of data, however, its most unique feature would be the mechanical antennas that rotate and adjust according to where most devices are placed in the household. It also features a 10Gb ethernet port for wired connectivity.
This smart mask from Razer is the need of the hour, however in a fancy way. It features an N95 filter, dual-fan active air filtration system and an RGB lighting to make it stand apart. However, the mask’s key offering is its voice amplification that solves the problem most of us face while speaking with the mask on.
