Apple has brought professional video and music editing tools Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro to the iPad, opening up fresh possibilities for music and video producers to unleash their artistic vision. Both Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro come with a one-month free trial so users can give them both a spin before grabbing a subscription.

Final Cut Pro for iPad enables users to record, edit, finish, and share their video creations, all from one convenient and portable device. With its touch-based interface, Final Cut Pro provides an intuitive and seamless workflow, empowering users to bring their vision to life.

Similarly, Logic Pro for iPad delivers a comprehensive range of advanced tools for songwriting, beat making, recording, editing, and mixing. As a result, music creators can now harness the power of professional music production no matter where they are.

Both Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro will be available starting May 23 via a subscription model on the App Store. Users can access these two tools for ₹499 per month or opt for a yearly subscription at ₹4,999 that includes a complimentary trial month.

Final Cut Pro for video editors

Final Cut Pro offers various features to enhance the video editing experience. For instance, the digital jog wheel allows users to navigate the Magnetic Timeline, move clips, and make frame-accurate edits.

Additionally, live drawing enables users to draw and write on top of video content directly using the Apple Pencil, with support for hover to skim and preview footage. External keyboards are also supported for key commands.

Furthermore, Final Cut Pro has machine learning features that include a Scene Removal Mask, which helps remove or replace backgrounds without the use of a green screen. Auto Crop assists in adjusting footage for vertical, square, and other aspect ratios, and Voice Isolation helps to remove background noise effortlessly.

Additionally, the app has a library of graphics, effects, and audio that includes HDR backgrounds, animated patterns, and soundtracks that automatically adjust to the duration of the video.

Creators can use the Pro camera mode to shoot video in Final Cut Pro in landscape or portrait orientation, monitor audio and recording time, and manually control settings like exposure, white balance, and focus. Multicam video editing automatically synchronizes clips for editing together, making it possible to switch angles with a single touch.

Logic Pro for music creators and editors

Logic Pro for the ‌iPad‌ is equipped with various multi-touch gestures that allow users to play software instruments and navigate projects with ease. The ‌Apple Pencil‌ enables precise edits and detailed drawn track automation, while external keyboards support key commands, similar to Final Cut Pro. Additionally, using the ‌iPad‌'s built-in microphones, users can capture audio directly in the app.

The app features a full-featured mixer with channel strips, volume faders, pan controls, plug‑ins, sends, and precise automation. Multi-touch allows creators to move and mix multiple faders simultaneously, and the mixer meter bridge provides an overview of track levels.

An all-new sound browser with dynamic filtering helps users explore all available instrument patches, audio patches, plug‑in presets, samples, and loops in one location. They can listen to any sound before adding it to a project by simply tapping on it.

The app also features a new time and pitch-morphing plug-in called Beat Breaker that allows creators to swipe and pinch to reshape and shuffle sounds. Creators can also make a soundtrack in Logic Pro and export it into Final Cut Pro when working across music and video.
