Apple's long-rumoured 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models might debut at WWDC 2021

Apple is planning to announce the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with its silicon at the upcoming WWDC event, as per analyst Daniel Ives from Wedbush Securities. MacRumors refers to an investor's note given by Ives, that says Apple is planning a "few surprises" alongside the announcement of the new iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS versions. According to him, the surprise is going to be the new MacBook Pro models in 14-inch and 16-inch size. Ives, who has made accurate predictions about Apple in the past, also says that the new models will feature the company's M1 chip, which is believed to be unlikely.
Popular Apple leaker and Youtuber Jon Prosser also believes that the new MacBook Pros will launch at WWDC.
Apart from the MacBook launch prediction, Ivy also reiterated that the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup will have up to 1TB of in-built storage. Also, he reiterated that Apple plans to announce its AR glasses dubbed as 'Apple Glasses' at WWDC in 2022 followed by the Apple Car in 2024.
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch, 16-inch: What's expected
The upcoming MacBook Pro models are rumoured to bring tons of improvements like flatter edges, removal of Touch Bar, the addition of HDMI port, SD card slot and MagSafe charging is said to make a comeback. It is also rumoured to feature a more powerful variant of Apple’s M1 chip, or maybe a new M2 chip.

These new MacBook Pros would come in 14-inch and 16-inch variants, making it the first time since 2019 that Apple has introduced a new size option and updated its larger-sized MacBook Pro. The new Apple processor in these laptops is expected to bring noteworthy improvements in performance. The upgraded chip will reportedly come with a new 10-core design with the option for 16 or 32 graphics cores. Currently, the Apple M1 includes eight computing cores and eight graphics cores.
