Apple hikes AirPods prices in India by up to 10%, but you can still get them at older prices – here’s how

• Apple has increased the prices of the AirPods devices in India.
• The prices of AirPods 2nd gen, AirPods 3rd gen, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max have been hiked.
• The AirPods Max has received the biggest hike of ₹6,110.

In what may come as a surprise for Apple fans, the Cupertino tech giant has hiked the prices of three products in the AirPods. The company has hiked the prices of the entire AirPods series in India.

The products that have received the price hike are – AirPods 2nd gen, AirPods 3rd gen, AirPods Pro and the AirPods Max. Apple has not revealed the reason for the price hike and the increase was first reported by Macrumors.

The new prices are now live on the company’s website and in authorized retail stores across the country.

It is to be noted that the devices are currently available at older prices on online retailers such as Amazon India and Flipkart. If you are looking to purchase AirPods, it might be a good idea to grab one from these portals before they increase the price.

Apart from these, prices of other Apple products have not been hiked. The hike in price could be due to supply chain issues being faced by the company due to Covid-19 lockdowns in China.

Apple is reportedly working on AirPods Pro 2 and they are expected to launch in the second half of the year. They will likely be priced above the existing AirPods Pro when they are launched.
