Netflix continues to bet big on Korean content, announces its biggest lineup ever of more than 25 shows

- Netflix is launching more than 25 new Korean shows this year, its biggest lineup ever.
- It will kick off 2022 with a new zombie series All of Us Are Dead releasing on January 28.
- The lineup also includes a Korean version of Money Heist, romance, action and sci-fi shows.

Netflix has been witnessing a huge spike in Korean content ever since the pandemic. 2021 was a big year for Netflix as the global viewing hours for Korean shows grew six-fold last year. The global hit Squid Game also became Netflix’s biggest show ever and the most viewed in 94 countries. The streaming platform also kicked off 2022 with a Korean dating reality show Single’s Inferno that made it to the global top 10 list, and watched over 19 million hours. Going by these numbers it’s safe to say that Korean shows are a big hit on Netflix especially in terms of viewership outside Korea.
2022 is going to be another big year for Netflix as it announced its biggest lineup ever of Korean content with more than 25 titles. The lineup includes a mix of shows and movies of different genres ranging from romance, thriller, action and sci-fi.
The first Korean show to hit Netflix is All of Us Are Dead, and it’s one for Sweet Home and Kingdom fans since the show is about a zombie outbreak set in a school. The show releases on January 28. We’re also getting a Korean version of the popular Spanish series Money Heist. It will be called Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area but the release date hasn’ been announced yet.
February has a couple of shows lined up which are mostly about romance, and these include Twenty Five, Twenty One, Forecasting Love and Weather, and Thirty Nine. There’s also a romance called Love and Leashes movie on February 11.

More movies like 20th Century Girl and Seoul Vibe set in the 1990s and 1980s respectively are also lined up for 2022.
