Apple is expected to introduce improved notifications and update some of its in-built apps such as Messages and Health, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In addition to this, the Cupertino giant is also expected to announce redesigned app icons, widgets, themes and an always-on display for the lock screen.

Coming to iPad OS, Apple is expected to announce an improved multitasking experience, allowing iPad users to easily resize app windows and use multiple apps at once.

watchOS and macOS

watchOS 9 is expected to be announced during the WWDC and like earlier updates, new health features and improved tracking will be in focus. The health app is also expected to be revamped to offer more meaningful data.

There’s not much known about what Apple has in store for macOS users. The company is expected to announce Focus Mode that is currently available on the iPhone.

In addition to updates on the software side, Apple is also expected to announce at least two new Macs. According to Gurman, Apple may introduce a new Mac Pro and a Mac Mini or a new Mac lineup during the event.

The new devices are expected to be equipped with Apple’s own chipset. Apple has reportedly been working on a Mac Pro with an Apple chipset and it is possible that this may be announced during the event.

Apple M2 chipset

Speaking about Apple’s chipset, the company may announce an all-new M2 chipset during the event. The company introduced the M1 chipset nearly two years ago and has announced improved versions since then.

It’s possible that one of the Mac devices being announced during the event will be powered by the M2 chipset.

AR headset

One of the most-awaited devices from Apple, the AR headset is expected to be announced during the event. While this is something that people expect every year, the likelihood of the headset being announced is at an all-time high as the company has reportedly showcased the hardware to its directors.
