How to pin photos and videos on your Instagram profile

• Teased in April, Instagram has now rolled out the pin post feature.
• Users will be able to pin up to three posts on their profiles.

Instagram is one of the most used social media platforms with approximately 1.4 billion users. It regularly adds new features and keeps the platform updated to remove bugs and enhance user experience. Recently, Instagram was working on adding a new feature that lets you pin posts on your profile.

Similar to the WhatApp pin chat feature that allows you to keep certain chats on the top, Instagram has also rolled out its pin post feature. This feature enables you to pin posts on your profiles. The catch of this feature is that you can pin up to three posts only, including reels.

The feature might be useful for content creators, brands or businesses, as it keeps your pinned posts on the top of your profile grid. It can be a great way to express yourself in a different way and highlight selected posts.

Instagram said, “Your profile is your place, so we’re looking for more ways to give you control over that experience”.

Till now, there was an option to pin only stories as highlights, but this feature will make you pin posts as well. You can also unpin the posts or change the pinned posts whenever you want. Also, you can keep the posts pinned for as long as you want.

Here's how to use the pin post feature on Instagram:

• Open your Instagram application and go to your profile.
• Select the post you want to pin.
• Click on the three dots and select the 'pin to your profile' option.
• You can pin up to three posts on your profile.

The pinned posts will be visible on the top of your profile grid and Instagram uses a pin icon to highlight those from others.
