Here’s how you can back up WhatsApp chats and restore them with Google Drive.
- Open WhatsApp and go to ‘Settings.’
- Now tap on ‘Chats’ then ‘Chat backup’ and at last tap on’ Back up’.
- After that, under Google Drive settings you can set the frequency for data backup also you get a manual option to back up your chats to Google Drive anytime you want.
- Once you have set the backup frequency, select the Google account where you want to back up chat history and media.
- Now, tap on ‘Back up’ and choose the network connectivity Wi-Fi or LTE to back up WhatsApp data.
The process of restoring

- Reinstall the app and verify your mobile number.
