  • Google Lens got three new tools for its desktop version.
  • Now, translate, copy text and search images on Mac.
  • These updates are available on Chrome 100 for Windows, Mac, and Chrome OS.
Earlier this week, Google introduced a multi-search option to Google Lens for Chrome on desktop, which will let you right-click a picture and choose to search image with Google Lens.

With the new update, Google will bring three new buttons that will appear at the bottom of the image (search, translate, and text). Search will be the default tool, text tool will allow users to click and drag to select any text to copy, translate, search and listen along with select all options.

According to 9to5Google new capabilities will include quicker access to optical character recognition (OCR) in the browser. This capability is now built into macOS giving you quick and seamless access to image texts.

The translate tool is very much identical to the mobile app. It will automatically detect any language and you can set your own preferred language. For a fuller experience, users can open identified texts over translate.google.com .

Now user also gets a find image source. It will allow you to find the source of images by uploading them to Google images.

It is still not clear when the company will roll out these features and changes but for now, they are widely available on Windows, Chrome (100) for Mac, and Chrome OS devices.
