Android users to finally get ChatGPT next week as registrations open

OpenAI’s popular artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT is all set to get its Android application next week. The iOS application for ChatGPT was launched in May and Android users will finally be able to get a dedicated app on their smartphone.

ChatGPT was launched in November 2022 and it took the internet by storm, attracting over a 100 million users within two months of its launch. The AI chatbot allows users to ask questions and get answers to a host of questions, ranging from simple questions like history of a place to complex coding questions.

How to register for ChatGPT for Android



You can pre-register for the ChatGPT app on your Android smartphones, so that you get access to the app immediately after it is launched.

  • Go to the Google Play Store and search “ChatGPT” or click here.
  • Now, click on “Install” and then click on “Ok”.
Now that you have registered for the app, it will be automatically installed on your smartphone once it is launched.

If you do not wish to install the application, you can click on “Unregister” or turn off the “Automatic install” option.

The Android application of ChatGPT will enable easier and quicker access to the chatbot for users. Currently, Android users need to use a browser to get access to ChatGPT and this will change once the Android application is released.
