Battlegrounds Mobile India launched officially – here’s how to update, claim rewards and more

The popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India has been officially launched in India. This comes after Krafton, the South Korean video game developer, rolled out early access back in June, allowing enthusiasts to test the game.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is an India-specific version of PUBG Mobile, which was banned in India along with dozens of other Chinese apps and games.

How to update to the official Battlegrounds Mobile India version

Users who have already downloaded the early access version of Battlegrounds Mobile India can upgrade to the official version by updating the game through the Google Play store.

It is worth noting that currently, only the Android version of the game is available. The iOS version is expected to roll out in the coming weeks, but official information in this regard is not available right now.

Here’s how Android users can update to the official version:

• If you have already downloaded the early access version, open the Play Store app on your device and update the game.
• If you haven’t downloaded the game yet, but registered for early access, visit the Battlegrounds Mobile India page and download the game.

What are the Battlegrounds Mobile India rewards?

During the initial days, Krafton had promised the following rewards to users who had pre-registered for early access to the game.

Here’s what was promised:

• Sign-up bonus – 1 supply crate.
• 1 million downloads – 2 supply crate coupons.
• 5 million downloads – 1 classic crate coupon.
• 10 million downloads – Constable set.

Eventually, Krafton received over 40 million registrations. As such, in addition to the above, users will receive the Recon skin, Recon outfit, Celebration Expert title and free 300 AG in-game currency.

How to claim Battlegrounds Mobile India rewards?

Krafton had promised several rewards for early access users. Here’s how to claim your bounty:

1. Update the game to the official version, using the steps mentioned above.
2. Once updated, open the game and click on the “Events” button below the Royal Pass section.
3. Go to the “Recommended” section and claim the rewards available for your account.
