Popular game publisher Electronic Arts announced that its popular PC/console title Apex Legends is finally close to making its way to mobile devices. Although the game is still not in the development phase, some players from select countries will be given a chance to test the game. The company first announced its plan to release the mobile version of the game two years ago. Now, with a new trailer of the PC/console version of the game, EA revealed that it will begin rolling out the beta of the mobile version in select countries. The beta is said to enrol only a few thousand players initially. Players in India and the Philippines will be the first ones to get a taste of the beta version of Apex Legends Mobile. But it is said to be expanded to more countries later on.
The publisher has also confirmed that the first beta will be available only on the Android platform initially. The iOS support will be coming later, but there's no timeline given as of now.
Apex Legends has been a huge hit on PC and console but note that the mobile version of the game doesn't allow cross-play as it's made for smaller screens. It means that a PC/console player and a mobile player can't join the same match. It's nothing new. The mobile versions of PUBG and Call of Duty also lacked cross-platform support. What's great, though, is that Apex Legends Mobile will be free to play and will not include paid items that allow gameplay advantage to those who pay for the in-game items.

Also, there have been tons of rumours around PUBG Mobile making a comeback to India with Krafton, a South Korean video game company. If that turns out to be true, mobile gamers will have a platter of small screen battle royale titles to choose from.
