Google has removed popular payments and wallet app Paytm from the Play Store, claiming that the app has violated the search giant’s gambling policies. The reason reported for the removal of the app is that Google doesn’t allow ‘unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting’.

Paytm in a statement has said that the user’s money is safe and those who already have the app on their device will be able to use the app without any issues.

However, if you are looking to install the app, there’s still a way for you to do so. In addition to the Play Store, some smartphone makers like Samsung, Xiaomi and Oppo also offer their own app store, allowing you to download apps and games.

How to install Paytm on Xiaomi and Poco phones

• Open GetApps on your Xiaomi or Poco smartphone.
