Most super luxurious London properties have certain features that their wealthy owners expect to come as standard. Think marble bathrooms, granite surfaces in the kitchen, and beautifully designed interiors. One thing most buyers would also expect is a home cinema, or failing that, an absolutely enormous TV.

One multi-million pound property for sale in Mayfair doesn't have either, but there's a very a good reason for that: it's above one of London's most prestigious and well known cinemas.

The flat, which was once owned by musician and producer Dave Clark, is on the market for a staggering £15.5 million ($23.6 million). For all that money, you get two floors in a Grade II listed building in one of the swankiest neighbourhoods in town, including some serious luxury.

Peter Wetherell, the chief executive of Wetherell, the estate agent selling the flat said "This building is the stuff of Mayfair legend: Royalty, film producers, Hollywood stars and celebrities have all flocked to this famous venue and over many decades it has played host to red carpet premiers, celebrity functions and private screenings for people including General Eisenhower.

"Curzon Street is one of Mayfair's most desirable addresses, on the doorstep of Green Park and Hyde Park and just a short walk from Berkeley Square, Bond Street and Mount Street."
