Stormy Daniels, the porn star currently suing President Donald Trump and his personal attorney Michael Cohen, is divorcing her husband Glendon Crain, her lawyer announced on Monday.
"My client Stormy Daniels and her husband Glen have decided to end their marriage. A petition for divorce was filed last week, the accuracy of which is vehemently disputed," attorney Michael Avenatti wrote on Twitter. "Stormy's daughter remains her number one priority. She kindly asks for privacy for the sake of her family."
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, had reportedly been with Crain since 2010. Crain, who also goes by Brendon Miller, is a professional drummer who has also worked in the porn industry as both an actor and director. Daniels and Crain share a daughter, born in 2011, together. They reside in a suburb of Dallas, Texas.
While Daniels's lawsuit thrust her into the national spotlight, Crain has avoided the media and not publicly spoken about or commented on the events, including Daniels's July 12 arrest at an Ohio strip club. In a supposed copy of a police report from the incident published by TMZ, Daniels marked herself as not married.
Daniels and Avenatti are suing to invalidate a non-disclosure agreement Daniels signed surrounding a sexual affair she allegedly had with Trump in 2006. Cohen additionally admitted to paying Daniels $130,000 in "hush money," a payment being scrutinized by federal authorities investigating Cohen for potential bank fraud and campaign finance violations.
