Stomach-Turning Video Appears To Show Golden Corral Buffet Storing Raw Meat Near A Dumpster
Restaurant buffet chain Golden Corral says it has fired a manager after a nauseating video surfaced that appears to show raw meat being stored beside an outdoor dumpster, The Huffington Post reports.
An employee took footage of the Port Orange, Florida, scene and said that the meat would be taken back inside and served to customers.
"The shocking video shows an array of what appears to be raw hamburger patties, raw baby back ribs, pot roast meat, chicken, bacon slices, a green bean casserole and a large hotel pan full of gravy -- all next to an outdoor dumpster," according to The Huffington Post. "Black flies appear near some of the meat."
The company said in a statement to HuffPo that the meat wasn't served to customers, and that the manager involved in the improper storage had been terminated for not following procedures.
