India’s largest government owned insurance and investment corporation, LIfe Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), holds the record for the biggest IPO in India. The issue size for LIC was ₹21,008.48 crores.

​One 97 Communications Limited

Founded by Vijay Shekhar Sharma in 2000, One 97 Communications Limited is the parent company of PayTm. The issue size for its IPO was ₹18,300 crores, making it the second biggest IPO of India.

Coal India Limited is an Indian public sector undertaking that comes under the direct ownership of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. Its issue size for its IPO was ₹15,199.44 crores.

Reliance Power Limited

Operating in the development, construction, operations and maintenance of power projects, Reliance Power Limited is a private sector power generation company. Its IPO issue size was ₹11,563.20 crores, making it one of the biggest IPOs in India.

The General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) is a government-owned company that provides reinsurance services. It also happens to be the only reinsurer in the Indian market for non-life insurance. The issue size for its IPO was ₹11,175.84 crores.

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) deals in exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas. It is India’s largest oil and gas company and with an issue size of ₹10,694 crores it is one of the biggest IPOs in India.

A credit card company and a payment service provider, SBI Cards and Payments Services Limited is a subsidiary of the State Bank of India. With an issue size of ₹10,355 crores, it is one of the biggest IPOs in India.

Administered by the Ministry of Finance under the Government of India, the New India Assurance Corporation Limited is a general insurance company. The issue size for its IPO was ₹9,600 crores.
