The latest counts of US oil and gas rigs are set for release just after 1 p.m. ET.
The oil rig count last week fell by 15 to the lowest level since November 2009. The gas rig count dropped 3 to 92, taking the total tally down to 464.
Combined, the count hit a record low last month.
Meanwhile, we have yet to see a meaningful drop in US oil production, which is helping to prevent a strong rebound in oil prices.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures in New York lost year-to-date gains on Friday after a report that Saudi Arabia will only agree to a production freeze if Iran does. WTI fell nearly 4% to as low as $36.73 on Friday.
We'll have the latest once the data cross, so refresh this page for updates.
