Steve Kerr will coach the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals

Eric Risberg/APGolden State warriors head coach Steve Kerr will coach in Game 2.Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed the media prior to Game 2 of the NBA Finals and announced that he will be on the bench for the first time in more than six weeks.

"The intention is to coach the rest of the series," Kerr told the media. "I"m in it for the rest of the way."

Kerr has been sidelined since the first round of the NBA playoffs after experiencing complications from a series of back surgeries. Kerr has not coached the Warriors since Game 2 of their opening-round sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Warriors lead the NBA Finals 1-0 over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
