Stepping up the game! Amazon Wholesale India receives Rs 100 crore capital infusion

As Jeff Bezos pledged to increase investments in India, Amazon Wholesale India got Rs 100 crore from Amazon Corporate Holdings Singapore and Amazon.com Mauritius.
Amazon Wholesale India was set up in 2013 and runs Amazon Business, which sells food and beverages, office supplies, FMCG goods and health and personal care products.
They also do marketing and are distribution partner for Coolpad, Huawei, Honor, OnePlus and Xolo.
Amazon Wholesale's loss widened to Rs 20.4 crore in 2015-16 from Rs 14.4 crore in 2014-15. Total revenue fell to Rs 3.2 crore from Rs 6.7 crore in the previous year.
Bezos said Amazon would invest $5 billion in Amazon's overall business in India and out of this, more than $2 billion have already been received across various businesses.
