Spotify's big new video feature has rolled out on the iPhone
Currently, the section includes clips from shows like "Key & Peele" and "The Daily Show," and places like ESPN.
On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that this feature would come out on Android this week, but the iPhone version seems to have dropped ahead of schedule.
Besides clips from shows, the video service also will include some original content from partners including the BBC, ESPN, and Maker Studios. At the announcement event, Spotify said Vice News, ABC, and others were also on board.
Right now, Spotify doesn't seem to have a firm focus editorially.
"Our goal was largely to get a wide breadth of content and experiment and test," Shiva Rajaraman, Spotify's vice president of product told the Journal.
"Obviously our primary user is a music fan, and they are not necessarily leaning in and looking into the app," said Rajaraman. "So there are no particular recipes for how to get this right."
