Spotify has no clue what counts as a 'rock god'
Spotify is getting pretty good at sorting its library of 20 million songs, but it's not there yet.
Just look at what it showed me when I clicked "Rock Gods":
I'm pretty sure AC/DC is the only one who counts here - and possibly Dave Grohl, but only because he was in Nirvana. Not to mention that zero of these bands have legendary dead drummers.
Who else does Spotify consider a Rock God? Here's what I got after clicking "See All":
No Zeppelin, no Who, no Queen, and no Sabbath. Instead, I get suggestions like Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. None of these bands are gods. In fact, most are pretty terrible.
A quick search shows that I'm not the only to notice this. As @adoseofdoby tweeted earlier this summer: LMAO @Spotify thinks Papa Roach are "rock gods.
It almost makes me miss Apple Music.
