With the T20 World Cup wrapped up, ICC has announced the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team of the Tournament.

The selection panel consisted of commentators Harsha Bhogle, Ian Bishop, Kass Naidoo and ICC General Manager of Cricket Wasim Khan.

Six players from India have been included in the ICC Team of the Tournament. On Saturday, India defeated South Africa to lift its second T20 World Cup trophy.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma who led the team to an unbeaten run in the World Cup has been selected as the captain of the team. Sharma was also the second top run scorer with 257 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah, who was declared the Player of the Tournament leads the bowling attack. Bumrah took 15 wickets during the tournament with an economy of 4.17.

Virat Kohli, who played an important innings in the final of the T20 World Cup was not included in the Team of the Tournament. Kohli who struggled in the initial stage emerged as the key batsman for the team in the final.

Apart from Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, the other Indian players on the list include Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh.

South African bowler Anrich Nortje made it to the team as the 12th man. Nortje took 15 wickets during the tournament.
