In the 13th match of the tournament, Afghanistan beat England by 69 runs after setting a modest target of 285 to win.

In the previous edition in 2019, Bangladesh shocked South Africa to win their encounter by 21 runs. Bangladesh set 331 to win but the Proteas could only manage 309.

World Cup 2011: Ireland get the better of their neighbours

The 2011 WC was a horrible one for England as they were defeated by Ireland too. England hit 327/8 in the first innings but it wasn’t enough as Kevin O’Brien hit 113 in 63 balls to take the Irish home.

Bangladesh ensured two upsets in 2007. Having set South Africa a target of 252 to win, the Tigers bowled SA out for 184 winning by 67 runs.

A big jump from 2007, but an upset which gave hope to the whole of India. India won the final of the tournament beating the mighty West Indies. India scored only 183 in their innings but managed to curb WI for 140 all out for the famous win.
