Virat Kohli ends his stint as India’s T20 captain with a nine wicket win

Virat Kohli played his last T20 match as the captain of the Indian team on Monday against Namibia.

The team did secure a smooth win, but has been knocked out of the on-going T20 World Cup.

He ended his captaincy with 30 wins and 16 losses out of 50 matches under his belt.

Not only as captain, he proved to be a very successful batter during his captaincy...

...by scoring the second highest runs by captains in T20I cricket. Ranked after Aaron Finch of Australia, Kohli has a tally of 1570 runs from 47 innings.

One black mark is that he failed to secure an ICC T20I World Cup or an IPL championship under his leadership.

Kohli took the captaincy of RCB in 2013 from former spinner Daniel Vettori.

RCB won 62 matches, lost 66 matches and 4 matches ended with no result out of 132 under Kohli’s leadership.

However, the team couldn’t secure a single IPL title under him.
