Tennis player Ajla Tomljanović was asked about her boyfriend, fellow tennis player Matteo Berrettini, during press conference on Tuesday in the Australian Open, and she rolled her eyes when the reporter asked her about being a "fiancée."

In clip posted to the Australian Open's Twitter, a journalist asked 26-year-old Tomljanović, who had just advanced to the second round of the tournament, how it felt to play the slam as a "fiancée" - a word she disagreed with.

"Fiancée…what kind of word his that? I think, 'fidanzata' is in Italian which means girlfriend, but in English it means fiancé and I'm not his fiancé," she said, after laughing and rolling rolling her eyes.

When the journalist asked if he should refer to her as "a girlfriend," Tomljanović responded: "I guess. Ajla would be great too."

The journalist then went to give Tomljanović credit for Berrettini's professional career, which has been an the up and up since they started dating last fall.

But Tomljanović turned the conversation toward her play.

"It's one of my favorite slams of the year. I'm pretty happy off the court as well. I don't know if that's translating into my game, but it's just been a really nice week so far and I would like to keep it going as long as possible," she said.

Tomljanović defeated Latvian Anastasija Sevastova to advance to the second round in the Australian Open on Tuesday.

Later this year, Tomljanović hopes to make it to the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

"The Olympics are actually a really big goal of mine this year to make it and go," she told Sporting News. "I think my ranking is right now on the cusp, but there's a long time until then. I'm really hoping that I have a strong first part of the season so that I qualify."

Tomljanović is currently ranked number 52 in the world.
