A scary scene unfolded on Sunday between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, as Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph was knocked out by a hit.

Early in the third quarter, Rudolph left the pocket and made a throw while running to his left. He was sandwiched by two Ravens players and was hit head-to-head by Ravens safety Earl Thomas. Rudolph appeared to be knocked out in mid-air and landed awkwardly.

The play can be seen below (Warning: some may find video disturbing):

Rudolph stayed on the ground for several minutes while Steelers players gathered around him. Wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster grew emotional during the scene.
