Jamie Foxx showed off seven photos of his body transformation for the upcoming Mike Tyson biopic, and all we can say is hot damn.
Tyson is as renowned for his boxing acumen as he was his physical strength, and Foxx has already bulked up and showed off the results on social media.
The actor confirmed that the biopic was finally heading to production in his Instagram caption, writing: "It is no secret that I have been pursuing the Mike Tyson biopic for some time.
"People always ask me when is it going to happen? Things have finally lined up; a few months ago we started the journey.
"The first but biggest task is to transform the body. With a regiment of pull-ups, dips, and push-ups, we are off to a pretty good start," Foxx said.
"I shared these early pics of the process. Like I said, we have a ways to go … But I am prepared to get there!"
Foxx first met Tyson 30 years ago, after the fighter had already become the youngest champion in heavyweight history, defending the world title nine times before he was upset by Buster Douglas in Tokyo, in 1990.
"I met Mike Tyson in the weirdest way," Foxx told the sports website. "I was on stage doing stand-up years ago. I get to my Mike Tyson joke and nobody claps, nobody laughs. You know why? Because Mike Tyson was watching.
"So I started hanging out with Mike Tyson so I got to see Mike in two different ways, two different lives.
"I saw him at the height of his career and then when things got bad, things got bumpy, I also saw him as well, so what I'm excited about the movie is to show those moments of the different Mike. That's the person we want to show."
If that's not enough to entice you, Foxx's description of the opening scene will surely hook you.
Tyson finished his career with a record of 50 wins (44 knockouts) against 6 losses after heavy, back-to-back knockout defeats in 2005.
In retirement, Tyson has released autobiographies, appeared in movies like "The Hangover" franchise, and launched a popular podcast called "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson."
