India creates a world record – wins by 317 runs

India has created a world record after securing a 317 runs win against Sri Lanka at Thiruvananthapuram on January 15, 2023, bettering New Zealand’s 290 runs win against Ireland.

The second highest margin win for India was on March 19, 2007 when the Indian cricket team defeated Bermuda by 257 runs, after a quick ton by Virender Sehwag.

This match is a close third as India defeated Hong Kong by 256 runs during the Asia Cup on June 25, 2008 after a quick ton by Suresh Raina.
