Ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games, the iconic symbol was mounted onto the Eiffel Tower to celebrate Paris' role as the host city.
Other photographers have taken similar shots at past Olympic Games. In 2012, Luke MacGregor photographed the full moon amid the Olympic Rings hanging from the Tower Bridge for the London Olympics.

Dikec and his teammate, Sevval Ilayda Tarhan, won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. While other competitors wore visors, high-tech lenses, or large ear protectors, Dikec wore regular earplugs and stood with his hand in his pocket, as captured by photographer Manish Swarup. His casual stance sparked memes.

She swam so fast in the 1,500-meter freestyle that she could be seen heading in the opposite direction of other competitors as she lapped them — a challenge for photographers like Sebastien Bozon.
