Sourav Ganguly, most successful captain of the Indian cricket team, is all set to change the image of BCCI

• Ganguly officially takes charge as the BCCI president on October 23, 2019.

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly is unanimously elected as the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He assured corruption free board with no compromise on credibility.

"I will speak to him (Virat Kohli) tomorrow. He is the captain of India. He is the most important man in Indian cricket. We will support him in every possible way"

BCCI tweeted pictures of Sourav Ganguly joining office.


This is the second innings for Ganguly who is among the country’s most successful captains. In fact, his captaincy gave birth to a new era and secured 21 trophies.

Given the history, cricket fans are expecting drastic changes in the board after his appointment. Union Home Minister Amit Shah's son Jay Shah will join him as the new secretary, while Arun Dhumal will be the new treasurer.
