NFL safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix played for the Chicago Bears last season, but he never had to outrun one until recently.

On Tuesday, Clinton-Dix posted security camera footage to Instagram from outside his house. In the video, two bears — one larger and one cub — can be seen mulling around a parked car. Clinton-Dix scooters into the frame, initially unaware of the bears that await him.

But as soon as Clinton-Dix realizes what's in front of him, he bolts the other direction, with the bears scattering the other way in response.

"I play D gotta be ready to go," Clinton-Dix wrote in the caption. "A lil high on my flip turn but the drive was there. I ain't know how many was over there."

Clinton-Dix signed a deal with the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason. Here's to hoping his next high stakes encounter with a Bear doesn't come until the playoffs.
