At the 2024 WNBA Draft red carpet on Monday night, basketball temporarily took a back seat to fashion.

All eyes turned to Caitlin Clark when she arrived wearing a full Prada ensemble that transformed her into a style superstar. And other athletes followed in their own designer ensembles.

From sparkling gowns to vibrant suits, here's a look at the best outfits at the event.

Clark — who was picked by the Indiana Fever on Monday and will earn an estimated base salary of $76,535 playing for the team — attended the WNBA Draft wearing three statement pieces and a handful of accessories from the Italian fashion house.

She sported a $3,750 rhinestone mesh crop top underneath a $5,500 satin blouse, the brand's $1,750 double satin miniskirt, and a $1,200 pair of black slingback pumps.

And for accessories, she chose Prada's $4,100 Galleria patent leather mini bag and $575 clear sunglasses.

As Business Insider previously reported, the outfit cost nearly $17,000, which is about 22% of her expected first-year salary.

She arrived on the red carpet in a white asymmetrical gown with a high neckline and fringe-covered slit. The dress was stunning and paired perfectly with her sparkling accessories.

Edwards — who was picked by the Washington Mystics — donned silver, strappy sandals, a diamond chain with an A pendant, and a matching bracelet.

She also carried a Judith Leiber clutch shaped like a basketball, which retails for $3,995.

Angel Reese made a last-minute outfit change and had one of the best looks of the night.

The Chicago Sky pick dazzled on the red carpet in a silver, hooded gown with a plunging neckline, backless bodice, and short train.

Speaking with the Associated Press, Reese said she didn't originally plan to wear the form-fitting Bronx and Banco look.

"I got this two days ago," Reese told the publication. "My original dress didn't fit."

She completed the look with a $250 Simon Miller clutch and $895 Louboutin heels.

Before being picked by the Los Angeles Sparks, Brink arrived at the WNBA Draft in a black-and-white Balmain gown.

The $3,890 dress was asymmetrical in design, with a single strap top, a triangle waist cutout, and a wrap skirt that formed a hip-high slit. It was also adorned with a monochrome rosette up top.

Brink completed the outfit with layered golden jewelry and pointed black pumps.

Chicago-based fashion designer Robin Harris styled Puoch in a fitted gown crafted from a blue ombré fabric. The dress was lighter up top, darker on the bottom, and its skirt extended into a short train.

Puoch, who was picked by the Atlanta Dream, also wore blue sandals, diamond jewelry, and glowing makeup.

The Los Angeles Sparks pick arrived at the WNBA Draft in a two-piece outfit with red trousers and a matching, blazer-style blouse. The latter piece had a double-breasted bodice, an illusion neckline, and extra fabric at the waist that cascaded to the floor.

But it was Jackson's diamond accessories that stole the show. She wore Cartier jewels and statement cross sunglasses from Wynn Sun.

Alissa Pili's patterned gown was both stunning and meaningful.

Jason Vu designed Pili's black-and-gold gown with a single long sleeve and a golden skirt decorated with an Alaskan tribal pattern.

On the red carpet, Pili told interviewers that she "wanted to represent" her culture and "stand out" at the WNBA Draft. She said it was also important to her to show her cultural tattoos through the gown.

Pili was later picked by the Minnesota Lynx.
