Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin will not attend the team's playoff home game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, despite previous reports.

"My heart is with my guys as they compete today! Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery. Nothing I want more than to be out there with them!" Hamlin wrote in a tweet shortly before kickoff.

A source with direct knowledge of Hamlin's schedule initially told the Associated Press that the safety — who is recovering after going into cardiac arrest and collapsing on the field during a game against the Cinncinnati Bengals less than two weeks ago — would make an appearance. The source later told the outlet that "plans may have changed."

Hamlin was seen visiting teammates "on campus" on Saturday, per NFL reporter Mike Gerardi. Fellow Bills safety Matt Milano shared images of the player smiling and shaking hands with a teammate on his Instagram story.

Hamlin's Saturday return to Orchard Park comes after he spent more than a week in the hospital in critical condition. The safety was rushed to treatment after he stood up after taking a tackle and immediately collapsed and fell backward onto the field on January 2.
