In the middle of the third quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Jets, as the Buccaneers trailed the Jets 24-10, Brown removed his pads, shirt, and gloves and threw them into the crowd.

After Brown left the game, the Buccaneers stormed back to steal a late victory, scoring 11 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to escape with the win.
Brown was playing in his second game back with the Buccaneers after serving a three-game suspension over "misrepresenting" his vaccine status after he was accused of using fake card at the start of the season.
The Buccaneers brought Brown back after his suspension, but head coach Bruce Arians made it clear after the game that Brown would not be welcomed back again.
"He is no longer a Buc," Arians said, when asked about the incident after the game. "That's the end of the story. Let's talk about the guys that went out there and won the game."
