The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is inviting job applications for Team India for various positions like head coach, batting coach, bowling coach and many more.
The last date to apply for the opportunity is 5 p.m., on 3 November, 2021. All applicants are instructed to mention the position title in the subject of their email.

This is a two year term Mumbai-based position responsible for coaching Team India.
Eligibility Criteria for this role —
- The candidate should have played at least 30 test matches or 50 one-day internationals (ODIs).
- Should have been a head coach of a full member test playing nation for a minimum period of 2 years.
- Should have been a head coach of an associate member/Indian Premier League (IPL) team or equivalent international leagues/first class teams/ national A teams, for a minimum period of 3 years.
- Should hold a BCCI level 3 or equivalent certification.
- The candidate should be below 60 years of age at the time of appointment.

- The head coach will have overall responsibility for the performance and management of the India men’s team in all three forms of the game.
- The head coach will be responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and enforcing the disciplinary codes within the India men’s team.
- Oversee the workload management plans and set key performance indicators (KPIs) for respective support staff verticals.
- Provide support and advice in the development of a cricket pathway.
2. Batting Coach
This is also a two year term Mumbai-based position responsible for coaching Team India. The selected candidate will have to report to the head coach.
Eligibility criteria for this role —
- The candidate should have played a minimum of 10 test matches or 25 ODIs.
- Should have been a batting coach of a full member test playing nation for at least 2 years.
- Should have been a coach/batting coach of an associate member/Indian Premier League (IPL) team or equivalent international leagues/National A teams /First class teams/Under-19 national team for a minimum period of 3 years.
- Should hold a BCCI level 3 or equivalent certification.
- Should be below 60 years of age at the time of appointment.
- The batting coach will have overall responsibility for the batting performance and management of the athletes in all three forms of the game.
- Develop and implement comprehensive technical, tactical, physical and cognitive batting programs for identified talent.
- Must have the ability to consistently maintain team performance levels in all competition formats, notwithstanding player roster variations due to injury and international representation.
- Manage player workloads in conjunction with sports science support staff.

3.Bowling Coach
This is also a two year term Mumbai-based position responsible for coaching Team India. The selected candidate will have to report to the head coach.
Eligibility criteria for this role —
- The candidate should have played at least 10 test matches or 25 ODI matches.
- Should have been a bowling coach of a full member test playing nation for a minimum period of 2 years.
- Should have been a coach/bowling coach of an associate member/Indian Premier League (IPL) team or equivalent international leagues/National A teams/First class teams/Under-19 National team for a minimum aggregate period of 3 years.
- Should hold a BCCI level 3 or equivalent certification.
- Should also be below 60 years of age at the point of appointment.
- The bowling coach will have overall responsibility for the bowling performance and management of the athletes in all three forms of the game.
- Develop positive and strong working relationships, and work closely with other specialist coaches and National Cricket Academy (NCA) coaches.
- Undertake, develop, and monitor a workload management plan for all bowlers.

4.Fielding CoachThe selected candidate will be responsible for coaching the national men’s team. This is also a Mumbai-based two years term position.
Eligibility criteria for this role —
- The candidate should have played a minimum of 10 test matches or 25 ODIs.
- Should have been a fielding coach of a full member test playing nation for a minimum period of 2 years.
- Should have been a coach/ fielding coach of an associate member test playing nation /Indian Premier League (IPL) team or equivalent international leagues/National A teams/First class teams/Under-19 National team for at least 3 years.
- Should hold a BCCI level 3 or equivalent certification.
- Should also be below 60 years of age at the point of appointment.
- The fielding coach will have overall responsibility for the fielding performance and management of the athletes in all three forms of the game.
- Develop and implement comprehensive technical, tactical, physical and cognitive fielding programmes for contracted and targeted players across formats.
- Manage fielding sessions for players in both match and practice. Provide one to one coaching as required for skills upgradation.
- Work closely with the head strength and conditioning coach and head physiotherapist in applying appropriate strength and conditioning principles relevant to safe throwing and catching.
5. Head Sports Science/Medicine with National Cricket Academy (NCA)

This is a new Bengaluru-based position for the department of sports science and medicine.Eligibility criteria for this role —
- The candidate should have an extensive experience of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams in high performance sport.
- Should hold a postgraduate degree in sports science or medicine discipline.
- The candidate also must have extensive experience as a science or medicine practitioner delivering support to high performance teams in professional and/or Olympic sport.
- The candidate will be responsible for the performance management and development of the sports science and medicine team in order to create a high performing unit.
- Will have to work closely with the head cricket NCA, head of cricket education, and national coaches to develop and deliver integrated support programmes that meet the performance and development needs of Indian players.
- Prepare and submit sports science and medicine budgets and manage their performance throughout the year.
- Review the contractual arrangements with centrally contracted players to promote physical preparation and minimise the risk of injury.
