The supposed beef between Kevin Durant and Rihanna was actually started by her assistant
The Golden State Warriors blew out the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1, and while Kevin Durant's dominating performance was the story of the game, he also caused a stir in social media over a supposed beef with Rihanna during the game.
The bizarre situation started late in the third quarter when somebody sitting in the front row shouted "BRICK!" just as Durant was starting the second of two free throws.
After the free throw, he can be seen looking over in the direction of Rihanna, who was sitting in the front row.
This was all the proof that many in social media needed. According to them, Rihanna had definitely shouted "BRICK!" and Durant was definitely giving her the stink eye.
Later, the social media fervor grew when KD made a three-pointer and then glared over in Rihanna's direction again.
Well, it turns out it wasn't Rihanna after all, although it was close. ESPN dug a little deeper. It turns out it was the woman sitting next to Rihanna who yelled "BRICK!" Complex identified that woman as Rihanna's assistant.

After the game, KD and Stephen Curry both had a fantastic reaction to being asked about the "beef." From Curry's quick head turn to Durant, seemingly annoyed, just saying he doesn't want any part of the story.
