Spain Scores A Sloppy Goal To Beat France In A Massive World Cup Qualifier

France came into the game up two points on Spain in the standings with four games to play.
Now Spain leads by one point, and is the favorite to win the group and get the automatic bid to World Cup 2014.
If Spain wins out, France will have to play a two-game playoff against another European team to qualifying.
Today's game was solid all around. While Spain has been the world's most dominant team in recent years, France did a good job of counterattacking and produced a number of golden scoring chances.
But ultimately Spain got more chances, and found the winning goal in the 58th minute.
The ball was crossed in, Pedro got his foot on it, France goalie Hugo Lloris deflected the one-time shot with a save, but it still dribbled its way into the back of the net.
Not a classic Spain goal, but it was hugely important. The video:
