Son Of Disappeared Missoni Plane Passenger Receives Eerie Text Message
YouTubeThe son of Guido Foresti, one of the passengers on the plane that disappeared Friday along with fashion heir Vittorio Missoni, received an eerie text message that he believes could be from his father.
Foresti received an SMS message that read, in Italian, "Call now, we are reachable," wrote Barbie Latza Nadeau at the Daily Beast. Nadeau doesn't specify whether there was a phone number with the message.
The Italian telephone company Telecom Italia Mobile confirmed that the message was sent, but said they couldn't verify when it was written.
Foresti's son had been in contact with his father just before the plane took off. He said now the phone appears to be turned off.
The Cessna 402 has been missing since Friday, when the Missoni heir, Foresti, their wives, and two crew members, were traveling along the Venezuelan coast.
A pilot who saw the plane took off told an ominous story about a dark cloud. Missoni's family said they're hoping he's alive and suggested he might have been kidnapped by drug dealers in the area.
