Snapdeal will soon create a thousand jobs with its plan to add 2,000 employees in its tech team by this year-end. With one of the largest cloud deployments in India, it expects to quadruple its infrastructure in near future.

Gaurav Gupta has been appointed as the Vice President Engineering for handling this double sized team. With innovation and efficiency being one of two key factors of the company, the team will try to bring in fresh perspective to the online shopping site.
With over 13 years of experience, Gaurav Gupta has worked across firms like Cisco, Symantec, CloudVelox, Vontu and Neopath networks.
This expansion is not only for the betterment of the company but to push to the forefront in the competition with other e-Commerce giants like Flipkart and Amazon.
But this does not mean Snapdeal is behind in the rat race. With its $450 million deal with Freecharge and becoming the first e-Commerce company to cut down cash-on-delivery (COD), Snapdeal is already on the right track.
