Snapdeal appoints former HUL employee as VP Marketing

Snapdeal, the country's largest online marketplace, has appointed Kanika Kalra, former senior executive at FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever, as its vice president for Marketing.

Kalra is an IIM Lucknow alumni and has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Delhi University. She served as the global brand director for HUL and has been responsible for spearheading key innovations in the skincare category for the brand.

She has also formerly worked with other major MNCs such as Pepsico and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, as part of their brand marketing teams.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kanika. She comes with a vast and distinguished experience in brand marketing. As we look at defining more innovative solutions for our customers, I am sure she will add tremendous value and further fuel our growth," said Rohit Bansal, co-founder and chief operating officer, Snapdeal as per the ET report.
