Hot mobile app Snapchat is in the middle of a lawsuit over who owns and founded the company.

Reggie Brown, a former classmate and fraternity brother of Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel and CTO Bobby Murphy, says he was wrongfully ousted from the company and screwed out of his ownership stake.

Judging from lawsuit deposition videos obtained by Business Insider, Brown seems to have a solid case.

In the videos, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel admits that disappearing photos - the core Snapchat product - were Brown's idea. He also says Brown "may deserve something for some of his contributions" to Snapchat.

Snapchat's lawyers, Quinn Emanuel, aren't happy that the videos have been in the press. To make the leaks stop, they're trying to get a restraining order against Brown and his law firm, Lee Tran Liang & Wang.

Specifically, Snapchat is trying muzzle Reggie Brown to prevent him from telling his story to the press. (Brown is apparently giving an exclusive interview to GQ. Snapchat is trying to prevent that from happening, too.)

Meanwhile, Snapchat itself has not explained its own version of Snapchat's founding story or explained why it once described Brown's ownership claim as "frivolous."

Here's the request for a temporary restraining order:
