Facebook, the Mark Zuckerberg-owned social networking giant, is going global with its transparency tools. The Facebook Ad Library, which was already in place for around 50 countries — including India — will now be in place for every country where Facebook has presence according to a new post on the Facebook blog.

The method isn’t quite as full proof as Facebook would like to have you believe. In an experiment that Business Insider ran last year, Facebook approved ads that were ‘paid for’ by Cambridge Analytica even though the company is now defunct and was banned from Facebook at the time.

Chinese gadget giant Xiaomi is all set to celebrate its 5th anniversary in India by launching 5 new products. A fast-charger and two pairs of headphones are set to debut alongside a rechargeable LED lamp and a truck-builder aimed at children. Xiaomi also unveiled a new product in its portfolio of lifestyle products called the Mi Beard Trimmer.

These launches come ahead of the company’s scheduled launch the Redmi K20 Pro in India on July 17th.

Internationally, as a run-up to the company’s launch of its new CC range of smartphones in July, Xiaomi announced on Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo that the Mi CC9 would feature a 48 MP camera and a 32 MP selfie camera.

The government-owned telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL), is staggering under ₹130 billion in debt. Its 180,000 employees haven't been paid as a result.

The public sector enterprise has asked the Indian government for a bail out of ₹8.5 billion so that it can pay its employees who haven't received any benefits in months and their June salaries are yet to come in .

The contractual workers at BSNL are in an even worse position with salaries backed up for the past seven months.

When it comes to competitive exams in India students seem to prefer taking online coaching instead of offline classes. Whether its banking exams, the JEE, NEET, GATE or SSC, 90% of students prefer online tutorials, according to a survey.

The highest turnout for online classes is from the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The success on online coaching is attributed to live sessions, the option to re-watch lessons, and the affordability of data.
