TikTok users are breaking laws in an attempt to go viral on the short video message sharing mobile app.

Nurses in Odisha shot multiple TikTok videos in the newborn care unit of the hospital and now they might lose their jobs altogether. Another video shot in Delhi, showed a man getting out of a moving Delhi Police van only to climb on top and do push ups — the video hasn’t gone down too well with online users or the official authorities.

The Indian government doesn’t want to be dependant on the social messaging app, WhatsApp and Google’s email client, Gmail for its communications. It’s currently mulling over plans to launch an in-house messaging service that will store any data exchanged on local servers.

The government’s impetus for launching an indigenously developed messaging client is to shield itself against any geopolitical developments that may not work in its favour in light of how the US administration blacklisted Huawei.

Akshay Kumar, one of the leading actors in Bollywood, just invested an undisclosed amount in the health and fitness startup, GoQii. In addition to investing, Kumar will also be the brand ambassador for GoQii.

GoQii is same company that went up against Flipkart for its deep discounting practices that were selling GoQii products at a steep 80% discount.
