Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of failed blood-testing startup Theranos, was a big hit this year for Halloween, to the extent it may have caused a shortage of black turtlenecks around Silicon Valley. One person to get in on the trend was famed journalist Katie Couric.
A venture capitalist with the firm First Round donned a cape and gold chain to be the email startup Superhuman.

The CEO of Cloudflare — a tech company with a recently successful IPO — trolled WeWork by dressing up as ousted CEO Adam Neumann. Matthew Prince donned Neumann's long hair and notable "Made by We" t-shirt.
