Hrithik Roshan has backed Bengaluru-based health and fitness startup CureFit. The actor who is amongst the fittest in the industry, is also the brand ambassador to this chain. The startup has also raised $75 million from Piramal Group’s Anand Piramal, Accel Growth, Kalaari Capital and IDG Ventures India in a Series D funding round.
Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan is also in the race of actors who are turning startup investors. Khan recently invested $300,000 in an online furniture rental platform Furlenco that is run by Kieraya Furnishing Solutions across eight cities in India.
Priyanka Chopra
Last year, Priyanka Chopra who is juggling her career between Hollywood and Bollywood, took time out to invest in a dating app Bumble, which was launched in India. She is also the brand ambassador and an advisor to the female-centric app which lets the woman make the first move.
Deepika Padukone
Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone became the face of a flavoured yogurt brand, Epigamia, after she invested an undisclosed amount in its manufacturer, Drum Foods International. She also participated in the Series C round of funding of the company, which also owns Hokey Pokey ice creams.
