While social media has usually been lampooned for being a vector for trolling or spreading fake news, people across India have been using Twitter and Facebook as a SOS medium. Even hospitals have had to resort to Twitter to send out their SOS messages, demonstrating just how bad the situation is.
While everything seems gloomy, as if the doomsday is here, groups of common people are offering a helping hand to do whatever they can to help others in need.
