Naukasana

Here’s how Naukasana strengthens your immune system. This yogic exercise improves your digestion, regulates the function of liver, lungs and kidneys. Also, it improves blood circulation and strengthens the muscles of thigh, hips, neck and shoulder. So basically, this asana helps you in not one but many ways.

Steps:

1. Lie flat on the yoga mat and with normal breathing, relax for few seconds.

2. While inhaling, lift your legs gradually and keep them straight.

3. Now raise your upper body slowly.

4. Hold this pose for 10-15 counts and breathe normally.

5. To return to the normal position, first bring your upper body down while exhaling.

6. Now gradually bring your legs down without getting hurt.

7. Relax for 5-10 seconds and practice 5 rounds every day.
