Luff, the series' protagonist, gained rubber powers by eating the Gum-Gum devil fruit as a child. He aspires to become the King of the Pirates, and brings together the first members of his crew in season one of the show.

Godoy is a Mexican actor who starred in Netflix's "The Imperfects."

Mackenyu plays Roronoa Zoro, a pirate hunter turned Straw Hat swordsman.

Roronoa Zoro is a swordsman who aspires to be the best in the world, fighting with a three-sword style that involves holding one sword in his mouth. Despite gaining infamy as a pirate hunter, Zoro is the first member to join Luffy's crew.

Mackenyu is a Japanese-American actor who has predominately appeared in Japanese productions, including other live-action manga adaptations like "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I" and "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final."

Emily Rudd plays Nami, the Straw Hats' navigator.

Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hats. She's a talented thief and map-maker with a keen understanding of the weather, and aspires to draw a map of the world.

Rudd has previously appeared in series like "Hunters" and "Dynasty," as well as films like "Moonshot."

Jacob Romero Gibson plays Usopp, the Straw Hats' sniper.

Usopp is the fourth person to join up with the Straw Hats. A slingshot-wielding sharpshooter, he's also a gifted liar who aspires to become a great pirate like his father Yasopp, a member of Shanks' crew.

Gibson has previously appeared in television series like "Greenleaf" and "Grey's Anatomy."

Sanji is the crew's cook, plucked from the kitchen of the seafaring restaurant Baratie. A women-obsessed flirt, Sanji only fights with his legs, since he believes his hands must be saved for the kitchen.

Skylar is a Spanish-English actor who previously starred in the off-West-end play "Warheads," which he wrote. He's also appeared in television series like "The Lazarus Project" and "Agatha Raisin."

Peter Gadiot plays "Red-Haired" Shanks, the Red-Haired Pirates captain who gave Luffy his iconic straw hat.

Shanks and Luffy met during Luffy's childhood, when Shanks' crew regularly visited Luffy's village. He saved Luffy from being eaten by a sea monster, and gave him his straw hat with a mandate to return it when he became a great pirate.

Gadiot previously starred in "Yellowjackets," as well as other shows including "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" and "Queen of the South."

Morgan Davies plays Koby, a boy Luffy rescues from a pirate crew who chooses to enlist in the Marines.

Koby is one of the first people Luffy meets on his journey to become King of the Pirates. Luffy frees the cowardly but clever child from Captain Alvida and her crew, and the pair travel together for some time. But Koby's real dream is to become a Marine, the law enforcers within "One Piece."

Davies is an Australian actor who previously starred in "Evil Dead Rise," "Terra Nova" and "The Girlfriend Experience."

Langley Kirkwood plays Captain Morgan, who's the leader of a Marine base and has an axe for a hand.

Abusing his power as captain, Axehand Morgan rules the island around the East Blue marine base with an iron fist (or axe, to be exact). He got the nickname Axehand due to the giant axe attached to one of his arms, replacing his hand.

Kirkwood is best known for his role in "Warrior" but has also starred in "Invictus," "Dredd," and the Starz pirate show "Black Sails."

Aidan Scott plays Helmeppo, who's the son of Captain Morgan and enlists in the Marines.

Helmeppo is the snobbish, spoiled, and unskilled son of Captain Morgan. He takes advantage of his position as the son of the powerful Marine to get away with anything he wants.

Scott previously appeared in "The Power," "Kissing Booth 2," and "Action Point."

Vincent Regan plays Garp, a vice admiral who's on Luffy's tail.

Garp is one of the vice admirals of the Marines, the third-highest rank in the entire organization. In the live-action series, he is a legend for capturing the former king of the pirates, Gold Roger.

Regan has starred in movies like "300," "Snow White and the Huntsman," "Troy" and "Clash of the Titans."

Armand Aucamp plays Bogard, Garp's right hand man.

Bogard is a Marine Officer who is the right-hand man of Vice Admiral Garp. He is always seen carrying a sword but rarely uses it.

Aucamp previously appeared in "Warrior" and "Homeland."

Michael Dorman plays Gold Roger, the previous King of the Pirates whose execution launched the "Great Age of Pirates."

At the beginning of both the live-action and anime versions of "One Piece," Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates, is executed by the Marine organization for his piracy crimes. At his public execution, he makes a defiant declaration to the crowd, calling for the remaining pirates to search for his hidden treasure — the One Piece — in order to become the next King of the Pirates.

This launched the "Great Age of Pirates," inspiring thousands of pirates to head to the Grand Line, the most dangerous section of the world, in order to find the treasure.

Coincidentally, Dorman previously starred in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."

Ilia Paulino plays Alvida, a pirate captain who previously held Koby on her crew.

Captain Iron Mace Alvida is a ruthless pirate who is obsessed with her looks. At one point, she captured Koby and forced him to join her crew, the Alvida pirates.

Paulino is best known for her role in "The Sex Lives of College Girls."

Jeff Ward plays Buggy the Clown, who's the captain of the Buggy Pirates and has the ability to split his body into multiple pieces.

Buggy the Clown ate the Chop-Chop Devil Fruit and can now split his body pieces and put them back together any way he likes. The easily angered captain is also aiming to become King of the Pirates thus putting him in opposition with Luffy.

Ward is best known for his roles in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and "Brand New Cherry Flavor."

Steven John Ward plays Mihawk, one of the seven warlords of the sea and the greatest swordsman in the world.

In order to police piracy, the Marines hire seven powerful pirates to hunt their own people, branding them the seven warlords of the sea. Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in the world and the only pirate without a crew, is one of these warlords. The Straw Hat Pirates end up on his path while on their journey.

Ward previously appeared in "Queen Sono," "The Day We Didn't Meet," and "Vagrant Queen."

McKinley Belcher III plays Arlong, the leader of the all fish-men Arlong Pirates.

Arlong is the leader of the Fishman pirates, the group terrorizing East Blue where Luffy starts his journey. Fishmen are a special type of human in the "One Piece" world that are, as expected, part human and part fish. Arlong is specifically part sawfish shark.

Belcher III previously starred in "Marriage Story" and "We Own This City."
