Skoda India Bringing Its Best-seller Back To Life In 2 Days’ Time

Everyone knows the success story of the popular Skoda Octavia. And many felt sad when the company pulled the plug on the car a couple of years ago. Now Skoda is bringing its most loved and widely selling car back to the Indian roads in an all-new 2013 avatar. The new Octavia will be available in 1.8 and 1.4 litre petrol versions and a 2.0 litre diesel variant.

The 1.8 TSi and 2.0 TDi editions of engine have been picked up from its sibling Laura. The 1.8 litre version will come with a 7-speed automatic gearbox while the 1.4 litre version will have a 6-speed manual gearbox. With a brand new jaw line and back, the car will also feature ABS, lane assistance, adaptive cruise control and traffic signal recognition.

In tune with the previous line, the new variant will also come in some sassy new colours, everything from Race Blue to Rio Red. Octavia had brought a lot of glory to Skoda India, but it somewhat got lost when new auto brands started to emerge in the country. With the reintroduction of Octavia, the company will be able to get some of it back and bring the loyal Octavia lovers back to camp Skoda.

The price of the car is expected to start from Rs 15 Lakhs.
